Republic’s tennis team breezed past Monett on a cold, windy afternoon at home Tuesday, 8-1. Republic swept the three doubles matches and went 5-1 in singles play. The Tigers improved to 8-4 this season.
Michael Nacy continued to dominate in the #1 spot, sweeping his match against George Fulton 6-0. Bradley Hendrix, Corey Harris, Gabe Bandfield, and Tyler Bastick also won their varsity matches, losing only two games combined.
In doubles, Nacy/Hendrix, Hyde/Harris, and Bandfield Bastick were winners.
The JV won 4-1.
On Monday, Branson beat Republic 6-3. The Tigers got a singles win from Nacy and doubles wins from Nacy/Jacob Overturf and Bandfield/Bastick.
Republic’s next match is Thursday at home against Neosho and Ozark.
