Lauren Strobel was 3-for-4 with two doubles and a triple, helping the Lady Tigers to a 20-0 destruction of Marshfield on the road Tuesday. Strobel drove in five runs and scored three times herself, accounting for eight of Republic’s 20 runs in the three-inning game.
Taylor Gold, Danielle Shelton, and Molly Zinecker also added three hits for the Lady Tigers, who improve to 3-0. Gold drove in three runs, and Shelton scored three times.
The Lady Tigers broke on top 7-0 after the top of the first. They scored twice in the bottom of the second, before exploding for 11 runs in the bottom of the third.
Freshman Rachel Rook ran her record to 3-0 in the pitching circle with another shortened shutout. She struck out six, walked three, and allowed two hits.
Paige Taylor took the loss for Marshfield, giving up 20 runs — 13 of them earned — on 19 hits.
The JV team also won, 5-1.
