A seven-run 5th inning sank Republic on Senior Night in a 12-3 loss to Rogersville. The Wildcats banged out five hits, along with a walk and a hit batsman, in their big inning. Evan Gruener’s two-run single was a key hit for Rogersville in the frame.
Nathan Strobel started the game on the mound for Republic, but came out after four innings with the game tied 2-2. Cole Hurst suffered the loss in relief. Jacob Schlesner picked up the win for Rogersville.
Before the game, the Tigers honored five seniors: Strobel, Clayton Rose, Riley Norris, Taylor Kirby, and Nick Gideon.
