No matter how you add the numbers for Republic’s basketball programs, the results are impressive in 2012-13. At the midpoint of the season, Republic’s basketball teams — 7th grade through varsity — have compiled an overall record of 84-7.
Girls basketball is where the numbers are most eye-popping. Through January 6th, no Republic girls team has lost a game this season (excluding middle school B teams). The girls have racked up a total record of 47-0.
At the high school level, the boys and girls have combined for only two losses. The overall high school record — freshmen, JV, and varsity, including both boys and girls — is 50-2. The high school girl are 25-0 as they head into conference play.
Republic teams have also captured at least eight tournament titles this season, including two each for the varsity boys and girls teams.
