The Republic Lady Tigers jumped out early and were never seriously challenged in a 75-50 win over Carthage to open the Central Ozark Conference season. Micah Mansker had nine 1st-quarter points, and 14 in the 1st half, to spark Republic’s offense in the early-going.

When Carthage shut down Mansker in the 2nd half, Alice Heinzler picked up the slack. She scored 14 in the 2nd half, 18 for the game, to lead Republic.
Lindsey Carlson added 10 points for Republic. Alex Botkin had eight, and Tori Taylor scored seven.
Republic improves to 11-0, 1-0 in the COC. Along with wins by the freshmen and JV teams, the Republic girls basketball programs are now 50-0 on the 2012-13 season.
Carthage is 7-4.
