The search for a new head football coach at Republic has officially kicked off. The school district started accepting applications Thursday, and the opening will be posted through January 7th.
Athletic Director Greg Garton says he’s already received several inquiries about the position.
“”We’re looking for a head coach with a positive attitude that really believes they can come in here and have success,” Garton says. “And for us to have success, we feel like the coach has to work hard to build positive relationships with our kids.”
After January 7th, a committee will sort through the applicants and interview the top candidates. Garton says he hopes to have a new coach on board in time for the February school board meeting.
