Republic sophomore Jake Wilson will compete at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City as part of the NFL’s nationwide Punt, Pass & Kick competition. Wilson is one of four competitors in the 15-year-old division to qualify for the Kansas City team championship, scheduled for the Chiefs’ game against the Denver Broncos on November 25.
Wilson qualified by first winning the district competition held in Republic on September 8. He won the sectional competition held at Ozark on October 6. Out of ten sectional competitions in Missouri and Kansas, the top four scorers qualified to move on.
The competition will be held on the field at Arrowhead Stadium, and the winner will go to the national finals, to be held at an AFC or NFC championship game in January.
