Carthage’s team speed and ball-handling ability was too much for Republic Tuesday, as Carthage picked up a 5-1 victory in Republic. Republic fell behind early and never mounted a serious comeback. Republic picked up the pace in the second half, and controlled the ball at times, but could only manage one goal. Paul Adams scored the only goal for the Tigers.
