The Lady Tigers softball team won two games and lost three at the Carthage Tournament over the weekend. The tournament traditionally features one of the strongest fields in southwest Missouri.
Republic opened its tournament play Friday with a 3-0 win over Carl Junction. The Lady Tigers lost to perennial northwest Missouri power Platte County 10-3.
On Saturday, Republic lost to Blair Oaks 5-0, beat Aurora 7-3, then lost to Kearney 5-1.
