The Republic Tigers cross country team opened its season Saturday with a meet at Lebanon. The Tigers had two top-ten finishers. Junior Ryan Way took sixth in the varsity boys race. Freshman Megan Hergesheimer finished fourth among the varsity girls in her first high-school cross-country race.
The Tigers are back in action Thursday with a meet at Carthage.
