The baseball Tigers meet Carl Junction in the opening round of the district tournament at Republic Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Republic enters the tournament as the #4 seed. Carl Junction is #5.
The tournament opens at 11 a.m. Saturday, when top-seeded Webb City plays McDonald County.
Willard (2) meets Neosho (7) at 4 p.m. Joplin (3) and Carthage (6) square off in the last quarterfinal at 6:30 p.m.
If the Tigers win, they will advance to play the winner of the Webb City/McDonald County game at 4 p.m. Monday.
