The Republic track team will head to Carl Junction tomorrow for districts. The Tigers have several competitors with strong hopes of advancing. Among them:
- Ryan Way, who won several races this year, including the COC championship in the 1600-meter run.
- Kavosha Edmunds, a leading contender in the 100-meter hurdles.
- Garrett Metscher, who finished at or near the top in the triple jump, long jump and high jump all season.
- TJ Ray, who was near the front of the pack in the 400-meter run several times, including a win at Bolivar.
- Sarah Kreul, who advanced to state in the discus last year, finishing 7th overall.
