Ryan Way and Garrett Metscher provided the brightest spots for Republic’s track and field team at the Branson Invitational last week. Metscher won the high jump event with a jump of 5’10”. Way won the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:36.84.
Way finished nearly five seconds ahead of runner-up Kyler Haumann of Ozark. In the 3200-meter run, the positions were reversed, with Haumann taking first and Way finishing second.

Freshman Molly Zinecker finished 3rd in the 100-meter dash.
Holly Burks, Rachel Allen, Abby Norris and Molly Zinecker took 3rd in the 4×200 relay.
T.J. Ray finished 3rd in the 400-meter dash.
