Republic got two goals apiece from Sierra Casagrand and Sara Marcotte, on the way to a 4-3 win over Joplin McAuley Thursday.
Republic fell behind 1-0, but evened the score in the first half when Casagrand scored on a free kick. The Lady Tigers took a 2-1 lead when Marcotte delivered a goal on an assist from Casagrand.
The Lady Tigers extended the lead to 3-1 in the 39th minute on Marcotte’s second goal of the night. They rounded out the scoring on a penalty kick from Casagrand around the 7:30 mark.
McAuley scored late to close the gap to 4-3, but Republic held on for its second win of the week. The Lady Tigers beat Central Tuesday.
