Nixa Lights Up Tigers in Homecoming Win

The Nixa Eagles unleashed a barrage of 3-pointers in the first half on the way to an easy 74-40 win over Republic Friday at Nixa.

The Eagles drained eight 3-pointers in the half, including five by Austin Ruder. Ruder finished the half with 21 points. He ended the game with 23. Jordan Epps added 13 points, and Cameron Bundy had 12 for Nixa.

The Eagles jumped out to a 19-2 lead, and led 25-9 after one quarter. It was 50-25 at halftime, and 63-32 after three.

Nick Yocum led Republic with 16 points. He was the only Tiger in double figures in scoring.
