The Republic Tigers dominated from the start, sprinting to a 21-4 lead in the first six minutes at McDonald County, before winning 69-40.
Nick Yocum led Republic early, hitting two 3-pointers and finishing the first quarter with eight points. It was 21-6 after one period. The Tigers led 39-18 at halftime.
Republic outscored the Mustangs 20-16 in the 3rd period, and led 59-34 going into the final quarter.
Cody Geiger led three Tigers in double figures with 12 points. Nick Yocum and Marcus Miller added ten points apiece.
