Record-Breakers

The girls golf team broke the all-time Republic record for a team score at a tournament, and cruised to an easy victory at the Marshfield Invitational Monday. They shot 343 as a team, beating 2nd-place Mt. Vernon by a whopping 41 strokes.

Payton Rayl took the overall title with a school record of her own, shooting a 75. Baylee Rayl finished 5th overall, with an 88. Allison Quigley was 6th, with an 89, and Alexis Edwards was 10th, with a 91.

It’s the third tournament championship in four outings for the Lady Tigers. They haven’t finished lower than second this year.
