22-0 Run Fuels Tiger Win

cassville_republicWhen Cassville scored to open the second half, their bucket cut the Republic lead to five points. That’s when Republic ripped off 22 points in a row in a decisive run that put the game away. The Tigers went on to win 70-38.

After a cold shooting start for Republic, they headed up in the 2nd quarter. They hit eight of their last 12 shots heading into the locker room at halftime. In the 4th quarter, things got even better, as the Tigers didn’t miss a field goal in seven tries.

Josh Morrow was the leading scorer for the Tigers, with 14 points. Republic improves to 4-1 this season.

The game was the last boys’ varsity game to be played in the current gym. The next home game for the Tigers will be in January, in the new high school.
