In their opener against Joplin, the Lady Tigers exploded for a 16-1 win. Emily Hall homered and Rachel Rook struck out six in three innings to earn the win. Lauren Strobel scored three runs and drove in three more.

In their second game, Republic jumped ahead of Cassville 11-0 and held on for an 11-4 victory. Angel Serles was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

The Lady Tigers wrapped up day one of the tournament with a 5-0 win over Aurora. Rachel Rook struck out ten batters and allowed only three hits. Kami Holt had two hits, including a triple, and two RBIs for the Lady Tigers.
