For about 20 points Thursday night, Carthage and Republic were nearly even. But Carthage pulled away from a close first game to win going away, and ended up sweeping the Lady Tigers 25-11, 25-11.
Emma Pearce had four digs for the Lady Tigers, and Kristen Blades led the team with four assists. Carle Ward had three kills and a block for Republic.
The Lady Tigers fall to 2-9-3 overall. They’re 1-3 in the Central Ozark Conference.
