Branson Tops Republic Volleyballers

The Republic volleyball team rebounded from a tough start, but not soon enough to avoid a sweep by Branson Tuesday. After losing a lopsided first game 25-12, Republic nearly forced a tie-breaking third set before falling 25-23 in the second.

Rylee Moseman led Republic with 6 kills and 7 assists. Carle Ward had nine digs to lead the defense, and also added two service aces. Kristen Blades contributed seven assists.

Morgan Leblanc had six kills and 14 digs for Branson. Grace Dean dished out 19 assists for the Lady Pirates. They improved to 11-8 overall and 2-1 in the Central Ozark Conference.

Republic falls to 2-8-3 overall. They’re 1-2 in the COC.

Branson also swept the JV and freshmen games.
